Safeguarding is at the heart of our business and lives and breathes in our daily practice. To ensure that our Internal Staff are here to support in best way possible we ensure that all of our Education Delivery Co-Ordinator’s are trained in the following: NSPCC Safer Recruitment, Safeguarding Level 2, Prevent and Designated Safeguarding Officer. All our staff from Tutors to Internal Staff Members are DBS Checked prior to commencement of any placement.
Across our business we have 1 Designated Safeguarding Lead with 3 Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads combined with the rest of the department DSO trained to ensure swift action is any issues arise.

Safeguarding is structured in three main categories within AP-Education.
Our dedicated Compliance Team verify and check all our staff, the team are highly trained, experienced and focused on ensuring all compliance checks are obtained in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education Legislation, as well as pushing above and beyond industry standards for pre-screening candidates. This process includes but is not limited to:
Safeguarding Training is a continual process within AP-Education where we are always adapting to evolving legislation, technology and risks. We ensure that we are up to date with all Government and Key Stakeholders updates and implement this across our internal teams and external workforce.
We are committed to continually refreshing our knowledge around safeguarding policies, practices and procedures for our staff to ensure everyone is educated to the highest standards and acts proactively on the subject.
All of our tutors are level 2 Safeguarding Trained prior to engaging with work at AP-Education. This is further supported by our Competency Based Interview around Safeguarding Knowledge and liaising with all parties to ensure that everyone is maintained the high standards of AP-Education to keep children safe.
All tutors are performance managed whilst in placement, ensuring that we are reviewing any possible safeguarding issues that may have been overlooked or missed. We also encourage multi-agency reviews to take place during the placement.
